Big Bottling Company Launches New Production Line to Target $2.8Bn Market

Big Bottling Company Ltd (BBC)—the Nigerian arm of AJE Group, known for popular beverage brands like Big Cola and Cifrut—has officially launched production line to boost its manufacturing capacity and better serve Nigeria’s growing demand. 

The new line was inaugurated by BBC’s Managing Director and CEO, Hernan Córdova, who described the event as “a new turn of events” in the company’s expansion journey. The ceremony also honoured long-serving staff, reinforcing internal morale and celebrating team achievements.

Commercial Director Dennis Cunliffe emphasized the multifaceted significance of the day. Chairman Olayinka Akerele echoed this, reinforcing the company's commitment to innovation and rewarding excellence.

The commissioning comes at a pivotal time as Nigeria’s carbonated soft drinks market is projected to grow by approximately US $2.2 billion over the next five years, supported by a compound annual growth rate of around 8.1%. 

BBC’s expanding portfolio features products such as BIG Orange, BIG Tropical, BIG Green Apple, and BIG Water, offered in various formats including 650 ml, 525 ml, and 360 ml.
